I am on a new sage in my journey. I am searching for a foundation...I have my beliefs...I am a Holistic Spiritualist, my foundation stemming from Yoruba....but I think I want to create one for myself, or create a spiritual practice that fits my needs as a practitioner.
Yeah, that's sounds about right....
Transpersonal Psychology....

I spent my teenage years in search of self....with no care of relationships and close intimacy.
I am not a teenager anymore...I am still on that journey, yet I have found that it can be lonely at times.
Now I do enjoy my solitude...but there are times where I would like to just come back to earth and relax....

I am a Dance Artiste. My specialty is Sensuality and Passion. Hmmm...I am interested in using movement from all cultures to express one of the Passions of the Soul: Sensuality.
Would I say 'sensual' or 'sensuality'? {don't mind me, I am thinking out loud...}
Sensual: pertaining to, inclined to, or preoccupied with the gratification of the senses or appetites; refer to experience through the senses.
Sensuality: sensual nature
Me thinks I'll go with 'sensual'...it makes more sense.
Anyway, women are sensual naturally. Most do not feel so because they are not aware of it, or are afraid of it because of the connotations that surround the name. I don't speak for every women, I am only basing such on my observations and experiences with teaching dance to women.
I see nothing wrong with being aware of your senses, or pleasing your senses...just make sure to carry oneself in a very positive manner. I think that's where the line of sensual and sexual or sensual and lewdness is crossed.
Anyway, jumping to another tangent, I say sensuality is a passion of the soul in relation to dance/movement. Improvisation is a passion of the soul because the movements aren't thought out compared to a choreography where everything is structured. Relating sensuality to this....to be sensual is to be aware of all senses, intuition included, and expressing such in your movment, on or off the stage...dancing or walking down the street. It is awareness to another degree. I am aware of something higher than myself, I am aware of the sensations all around me, I am aware of the sensations of my soul. When you let that shine through your eyes, well, it's an otherworldly thing.
I may not be making sense to any of you, but that's the point of blogging..blogging for me. Random thoughts and such,
Passions of the Soul. Descartes made a few interesting points....that which is thought belongs to the soul, whereas heat and movement of the limbs originate from the body.
Of course one wouldn't have to agree with him in its entirety....
